Party was a joyful little kitten when we first came upon her. She was left at a mamak stall near the old Pet Epicure to fend for herself at the tender age of six weeks. We took her in and she grew quickly into a happy young lady. She was called Party for her playful nature as well as in honour of her tri-coloured coat.
Several weeks later, she was adopted by a large family. We were so pleased for her and thought that our paths would part permanently. Sadly, this was not to be the case. After almost a year with her family, she was returned to us. Her family were going through a difficult time and were now unable to care for her. She was in poor health, with severe oral ulcers that left her emaciated and vulnerable to all sorts of secondary infections. Being around other cats further added to her misery and delayed her recovery. She had trouble gaining weight and lost most of her lovely, glossy fur.
We battled for almost six months and she is now finally on the mend. We truly hope she will have a Happily Ever After. She has fought long and hard for it. She is gentle and undemanding. All she needs is welcoming lap once in a while and gentle stroke. We are hoping with all our hearts that her special someone is just round the corner and ready to welcome her into their lives.
